Jypsy Soul Limited Edition Artist Series: “Up River Dance” Tony Hatch 1 of 3.

Pendleton’s “Up River Dance” by Tony Hatch is trimmed in soft, supple, elk and beautiful black sheepskin carefully selected to mimic the swirling waters of the rivers in which the salmon live. Toggles are hand designed whale tails of elk leather and the toggle is buffalo horn. Reversible to show more red or more black.

Can be made with or without fur trim.

From Pendleton - “The Up-River Dance design is Pendleton's interpretation of Native American artist Tony Hatch's original design. Like many Pacific Northwest Native tribes, the Tulalip have always depended on the salmon to give of themselves and feed the people. When the shining salmon leapt and fought their way up river, there was great rejoicing. Soon there would be plentiful salmon to catch and eat, or smoke and dry for the coming year. This design captures the spirit of this spiritual belief.”
