Christmas Stocking in Glacier Park
Glacier Park Christmas Stockings
Settling for the same old traditional Xmas colors and designs? Why not add a little giddy up to this year’s festivities with our decorative Christmas Stockings in Pendleton®’s Glacier Park?
Price includes shipping. That’s right … no shipping costs with this Xmas stocking.
Our Christmas Stockings are large enough to hold a bottle of wine (or a bottle of whiskey) and then some. And since they’re tripled stitched that means they’re strong enough to last a lifetime.
What makes these Christmas Stockings so special? It all starts with Pendleton® wool.
Family owned for 150 years, Pendleton Mills weaves the finest virgin wool into spectacular works of art. We took these highly treasured pieces and turned them into one-of-a-kind Christmas Stockings.
The Glacier Park pattern comes from one of Pendleton®’s oldest and most iconic patterns from the National Park Series. According to Pendleton®;
- “Since the early 1900s, Pendleton Woolen Mills has honored America’s National Parks with a collection of distinctive park blankets. Glacier Park National Park Blanket was one of the first. Its historic markings and colors date back to the frontier trading posts. Traders would indicate the weight of the blanket offered in exchange for furs by holding up one finger for each pound. The original blankets incorporated three, four or five black stripes in the design, which indicated the value of the blanket. Colors and variations of the original striped theme have been adapted to reflect distinguishing characteristics of each park and blanket in the collection. National Park Blankets are still woven right here in our Pacific Northwest mills, just as they were nearly 100 years ago.”
Established in 1910, Glacier National Park spans over 1 million acres in northern Montana. Home to mountains, lakes, and hundreds of species of animals (including grizzlies, moose, and wolverines), Glacier was once considered the backbone of the world” and utilized by the Blackfeet for vision quests.
So if you want to bring a little more this year’s Christmas celebration, what better way than the start with a stocking of Glacier Park.
