Riding Poncho in Pendleton's Thunderbird.
Traditional colors of Black and Tan make up this striking new pattern. Like the legendary Thunderbird, it will shield you from the weather.
Pendleton's Thunderbird Riding Poncho is made of authentic Pendleton Wool, rugged leather trim and buffalo horn toggles. Perfect for campus, the store, the trail or the office its style is only surpassed by its warmth.
Description of the pattern by Pendleton - “The Menominee of Northern Wisconsin tell of a great mountain that floats in the western sky. Here dwell the mighty Thunderbirds, messengers and controllers of rain and hailstorms that can save crops, or ruin them. The Thunderbirds are also great protectors, preventing the Misikinubik, or giant horned snakes, from overrunning the earth.”
As each poncho is completely custom, and reversible, it usually takes 7-10 working days to create this kind of beauty. Coordinating saddle pads, in both English and Western styles, are available for a lucky few who act fast.
